Welcome to Folkle. These are the terms that govern using our platform. By using the site or signing up, you're agreeing to them.

We built Folkle to help parents make informed decisions — not to replace professional advice or your own judgment.

Who we are

Folkle is a hyperlocal parent recommendation platform based in San Francisco. Our website is folkle.co. Our email is hellofolkle@gmail.com.

What Folkle is

Folkle is a trusted local network for parents — the people, places, and providers real parents recommend. It's a place to discover and share the pediatricians, camps, activities, and services families in your neighborhood use and trust.

Who can join

You must:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Be a parent, guardian, or caregiver
• Use your real first name
• Provide accurate information

We may refuse membership or remove accounts at our discretion.

Content on Folkle

Your recommendations

• You keep all rights to what you write
• You give Folkle the right to display, use, and share it as part of the community
• We may edit for spelling, grammar, or clarity

Content we display

• Provider information may include public data (websites, phone numbers, addresses)
• We do our best to keep it accurate but can't guarantee it — verify with the provider directly

Prohibited behavior

Please don't:

• Spam or self-promote
• Post medical, legal, or financial advice
• Share private information about specific families or children
• Harass, insult, or attack other users
• Post misleading recommendations for providers you haven't personally used
• Use Folkle for commercial promotion
• Attempt to scrape, copy, or reverse-engineer the site

The Village

The Village is a private community space. You need approval to join. Please don't screenshot or share conversations outside The Village without permission from the people involved.

Termination

We can remove content or terminate accounts if:

• You violate these terms
• You violate the Community Guidelines
• You misrepresent your identity
• You misuse the platform

You can delete your account any time by emailing us.

Disclaimers

Folkle is provided "as is" — without warranties. We don't guarantee:

• The accuracy of provider information
• The quality of services from any provider listed
• That the site will be available 100% of the time
• That your recommendations will help you find the right fit

Limitation of liability

Folkle is not liable for:

• Decisions you make based on recommendations
• Services provided by third-party providers
• Any indirect or consequential damages
• Data loss (but we do our best to prevent it)

Governing law

These terms are governed by California law. Any disputes will be handled in San Francisco County courts.

Changes

We may update these terms occasionally. We'll notify you (via email or site notice) of significant changes.
