The Folkle Community Guidelines

Folkle is built on kindness, honesty, and real experience. These guidelines exist to keep our community warm, useful, and trustworthy.

By joining Folkle, you agree to follow them.

We built Folkle to help parents make informed decisions — not to replace professional advice or your own judgment.

The spirit

Folkle is a village of parents helping other parents. Everything on this platform should reflect:

• Warmth — no drama, no personal attacks
• Honesty — real recommendations based on real experience
• Discretion — respect for other families' privacy
• Curiosity — questions are welcome, judgment is not

What to share

Yes

• Providers you've personally used
• Honest experiences (positive or constructive)
• Questions about parenting resources in SF
• Local recommendations from your neighborhood

No

• Providers you haven't personally experienced
• Copy-pasted reviews from other sites
• Content that shares private information about children or families
• Sales pitches or self-promotion

The Village rules

Real names, real experiences. Every member uses their real first name and shares real experiences.

Respect what others share. Please don't screenshot or share conversations outside The Village without permission from the people involved. Sharing your own words is fine — sharing someone else's isn't.

No medical, legal, or financial advice. Even if you're a professional. Share what worked for your family; leave the professional advice to appointments.

Kindness first. If you disagree, disagree respectfully. If you don't have something helpful to add, it's okay to move on.

Report concerns quietly. If something feels off, email hellofolkle@gmail.com. Don't call out other members publicly.

What happens if guidelines are broken

We reserve the right to:

• Edit or remove content
• Contact you privately
• Remove your access to The Village
• Terminate your Folkle account

For serious violations (harassment, illegal content, safety concerns), we act immediately.
